If you're a chocolate lover searching for the ultimate frosting, look no further. This rich and creamy chocolate frosting is really just whipped ganache! It is the perfect topping for cakes, cupcakes, or even as a dip for your favorite treats. It's smooth, indulgent, and incredibly easy to make.

🍫 Ingredients:

  • 1 (23oz) bag of semi-sweet chocolate

  • 1 (16oz) carton of heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste

  • Pinch of salt

🥣How to make it:

  1. Start by heating your heavy cream until it’s just about to boil — I usually microwave mine for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, until it’s steamy and scalding.

  2. Pour your chocolate chips into a heat-safe bowl, then pour the hot cream right over the top. Don’t stir yet! Let it sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes so the chocolate can melt fully.

  3. Once it’s nice and melty, stir it together until smooth and glossy. It might take a minute or two — just keep going, it’ll come together.

Stir in a pinch of salt and a spoonful of vanilla bean paste (or extract if that’s what you’ve got).

  4. Pop the bowl into the fridge and check on it every so often — you're looking for it to thicken up to a scoopable consistency, not go completely stiff. Usually takes around 10–15 minutes.

  5. Once it’s thickened but still soft, grab a whisk or mixer and whip it up until it’s light, fluffy, and frosting-ready.

This decadent chocolate frosting is a game-changer for any dessert. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a sweet treat, this recipe is sure to impress.
